Batoto ba Mungu emerged top with a 1-0 win against Mathare United, in a match that saw the battle go to the wire. The Boys started off impressively with beautiful football display as if they intended to show who was in charge. The midfield was well commanded by Kenya’s Internationals’ Cliff Miheso and Danson Kago, who were completely in charge of the midfield.

Sofapaka fc beat Nakuru All Stars this afternoon to remain firmly in the race for the Kenya Premier League title. The match kicked off on a rather pacy start with the home team launching attacks one after the other. Nakuru All Stars seemed determined to get an early lead, and Sofapaka had to retreat to the defence to keep the attacks at bay. Goal Keeper David Okello, had to make some brilliant saves, while constantly keeping the defense line of Asike, Batambuze, Shivach and Mulumba on the alert. The mid field had to remain disciplined enough to keep the attacks at the minimum.

Start of KPL second leg started on a rather disappointing note for Batoto ba Mungu.
Sofapaka fc fell 2 - 0 yesterday at the hands of Thika United fc. The match was characterized by mixed fortunes for Sofapaka who dominated the first half of play. In the 18th minute, Captain John Baraza came close to putting Sofapaka ahead with a brilliant header after Anthony Kimani's superb cross from the left corner. There were brilliant moments too for seemingly sharp and goal hungry Abdoul Fiston.
