Leopards Fc falls to Sofapaka

AFC Leopards succumbed to a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Zone B Nationwide league leaders, Sofapaka FC in friendly match played at Railways Sports Club.

AFC, who play in the parallel zone A league played well but suffered lack of finishing touch, in the match that was marred bu blind passes and poor marking.

Sofapaka striker David Bob was the destroyer-in-chief for the former league champions.

Bob, who scored the first goal in the 15th minute, exhibited excellent ball control as he continuously taunted  the AFC defenders. He added the second goal after 35 minutes after heading in a corner.

New AFC recruit Joel Mulamba combined well with Daniel Muho, also a new recruit, in the left but failed to find the back of the net.

Bob grabbed his hat trick in the 63rd minute to show shy Sofapaka are top in the Nationwide league.

AFC coach Gilbert Selekwa said that he was using the match to gauge the capabilities of new players ahead of the league matches. "we recently recruited Mulamba from Musingu High School, Benson Ayigo from Vihiga United, Daniel Muho from former premier league side Mumias Sugar and Mike Songore from Kangemi United and we were using the match to gel them," he said
